Pom-Pom Zombies

High-School Musical goes Post-Vital

WINTER HAVEN – The Blue Devil Drama Club at Winter Haven High School announces the cast list for its spring musical, Pom-Pom Zombies:

. . . .

Pom-Pom Zombies, a sci-fi spoof of the “beach blanket” movies of the 1960s, will be presented Friday through May 3. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be held in the Gorman Ayers Fine Arts Auditorium at Winter Haven High School. Tickets are available at the door. Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students and seniors.

We at ZADL encourage any and all of our readers in the Winter Haven, FL area to attend. It’s always nice to see youth get into the movement.

Though we do have some concerns, the script doesn’t seem to be too Zombie friendly, but the plot summary seems to indicate it ending with a Vital/Post-Vital relationship blooming between a cheerleader and her boyfriend, and a big group Zombie dance (we think it might be a mixer, but are not sure). The plot summary also talks of “turning Zombies into Humans,” but we suspect that to be a phrase born of vitalist ignorance.

If anyone can attend, please let us know. We will be contacting the appropriate parties and letting them know of our positions on the vitalist attitudes. With a little re-writing this could turn into a positive message.

That’s awesome, David! Tell us – does your production have a Pro-Zombie message? Even if it doesn’t, if you have any YouTube video, we’d love to see it and post it!

Yeah, I’m in the show too. Pandora. Seriously, I was wondering if this website is for real, or some type of parody. There’s no condescending nature in what I’m saying, this is all curiosity.

Cassandra, we here at the League are always dead serious when it comes to Zombies.

Though our site is in an early stage, we will be updating it in the next few months with a new design befitting our post-vital friends, and will be including movie reviews as well as upcoming Zombie rights events. Eventually there will be merchandise as well, so that you may (if you wish) wear all your favorite Zombie swag with pride and your head held high, or lolling to one side, if that’s your thing.

Remember, inside every living person is a dead one waiting to get out.

Shortie – I do not know him, no. But perhaps he may stop by here and post if he searches for Pom Pom Zombies on the web. If so, I promise to approve his comments as soon as I get notice of them – it takes a short time for each new poster to be checked and approved. Sorry if that was confusing. :-)

      Remember, Zombies were People too!
